How It All Began
Yogo Merkur was founded in the distant 1990 as a small, family company. Otherwise, the company was founded with 100 percent own capital, with small funds at the beginning with a lot of effort, enthusiasm and will to work, and slowly over the years it grew and developed. Both time and funds were needed, so after a certain period we started dealing with the distribution of dairy products from Macedonia and abroad. Those were the beginnings in the 90s of the last century.
It took us 15 years of hard work, exclusively in trade (especially with dairy products) before we produced a traditional domestic brand in Macedonia – these are now “Osogovo Milk Products” and in 2006 we founded a new legal entity, “Osogovo Milk Dairy Industry” and we built a facility – a dairy on the slopes of the Osogovo mountains. We decided on that location because of the proximity of the raw material and the availability of labor. This marks the beginning of our success story of producing exclusive dairy products.
