Experience a refreshing salad mixed with crisp vegetables and creamy Osogovski cottage cheese, creating a delightful blend of textures and flavors in every bite.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg. Osogovski cottage cheese
  • 400 ml. Osogovska sour cream
  • 200 gr. chopped walnuts
  • 1 head of garlic (chopped very finely)
  • 100 gr. toasted hulled sunflower
  • 400 gr. fresh cucumber
  • 150 gr. toasted sesame seeds, salt to taste

Instructions:

STEP I
First, the fresh cucumber is peeled and cut into small cubes. Add a little salt and let it sit in a strainer to release excess water, about 1 hour.

STEP II
Then add the Osogovski cottage cheese to a bowl and gradually add the Osogovski sour cream. You may need less or more sour cream than the specified amount depending on whether the cottage cheese is dry or creamier. Add the fresh cucumber, chopped walnuts, toasted sesame and sunflower. And finally, the chopped garlic is added.

STEP III
Salt is added as needed and to taste. I roasted the sesame and sunflower in a dry pan over a fire with constant stirring so that they are nicely roasted, for a sweeter taste of the salad. A quick salad is served on a plate and decorated as desired. 
This amount of salad is for greater glory. If you want a smaller quantity, reduce the quantities of the ingredients.
